Just Stay Cool.
A Safe Bet.
THAT’S HOW TO PLAY IT SAFE:
Lindner’s modern out-of-the-box FPS solution automatically detects and cools overheated particles in the material stream directly on the discharge conveyor, effectively preventing possible sources of fire. The system adapts the cooling process to the hazardous situation to ensure the facility operates optimally at all times.
- Precise detection of overheated materials
- Comprehensive monitoring of the entire cooling section
- Cooling process adapted to the hazardous situation
- Independent cleaning of the infrared sensors
- Temperature resistant and robust thanks to a special insulation system
- Highly flexible modular design

AVOID DANGER.
1. PRECISE DETECTION
The advanced infrared technology makes sure that every square centimetre of the material discharge is consistently monitored. This comprehensive sensory control ensures no potential safety hazards escape the system.
2. FIRE PREVENTION
If the system detects excessively high temperatures in the material stream, it targets and effectively cools the relevant sections. To avoid any unnecessarily soaked materials, the cooling process adapts to the safety hazard.
3. ABSOLUTE SAFETY
If the water connection temporarily fails, the FPS ensures smooth cooling thanks to its 300-litre tank. Safety valves ensure the system‘s operation even in the case of shortterm pressure peaks.
4. EASE OF USE
The system operates completely independently and therefore requires no specific operator training. Thanks to the system’s scan button, the FPS checks itself for potential problems. In addition, the infrared sensors clean themselves at set intervals with the integrated fully automated compressed air cleaning system.
5. PLUG & GO UNIT
The pre-configured plug-in devices make it quick and easy to start up the system. After the necessary media (electricity, water, compressed air) are connected and the cooling bars installed, the FPS unit is ready to use.
6. MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY
The cooling bars have a modular design so that Lindner’s FPS can be fitted to almost any conveyor. It’s also possible to operate the system down to -25 °C thanks to its robust construction and integrated trace heating system.
COMPREHENSIVE MONITORING.
Each integrated element autonomously monitors a defined area, recognising and cooling overheated particles fully automatically. In the cooling process itself, a distinction is made between two cooling stages: moderate and critical cooling. In moderate cooling, the heat range is between 90°C and 120°C. At this temperature range, cooling takes place without stopping the conveyor belt. If the temperatures reach more than 120°C, this is referred to as critical cooling. The conveyor belt is stopped while cooling continues. After the battery or contaminant has been removed, operation can be continued.
Moderate cooling (e.g. 90°C – 120°C)
The system cools the material without compromising the conveying system
Critical cooling (e.g. > 120°C)
The system cools the material and stops the relevant conveyor belt
